As lead designer on this treatment pathway output for peripheral artery disease, I collaborated directly with the internal research team, taking the project from initial concept through to final delivery. The output was pitched to the client as an interactive PDF that could be easily shared with key stakeholders and medical experts.

To simplify a complex volume of information, I developed a practical visual approach inspired by a ‘tube map’, creating clear navigation, hierarchy and signposting throughout. The layered document was designed in a 16:9 format and opens in full screen, applying familiar digital principles to create a more intuitive, webpage-like experience within a PDF format.

The project was well received by the client, who subsequently requested a second version to show an extended form of the disease. This provided an opportunity to build on the original design while adapting the content and pathway routes, and demonstrated that the considered approach was an adaptable structure, rather than a one-off deliverable.
